I know it's hard to believe, but January 2013 is over, and we're already a few days into February. It seems like January just flew by. In fact, as you get older, time seems to go by faster. If you'll indulge me, I'll attempt an explanation.
Let's start with a 4-year-old boy. To him, one year is 25% of his life -- that's massive. When that same boy reaches the age of 10, a year is 10% of his life. And later, when he's 50 years old, a year is only 2% of his life.
The whole point is that, the longer you live, the smaller the percentage of your life any given unit of time becomes.
(NOTE: This is NOT my theory. I originally read it somewhere -- I believe it was Reader's Digest, not sure. However, the interpretation IS mine... you know, just in case you didn't have enough time to read the whole article.)
I know, it's not as sexy as time travel (what is?), but it'll do in a pinch.
:-)

So true. I can't get over how much faster time flies than when I was a kid -- but when I was 10 years old, a year was 10% of my life! It's, ahem, somewhat less than that now ;)
