Anonymous

In reference to "Anonymous", who recently left a comment basically saying "Get a life" (with apologies to William Shatner)...

First of all, my Sitemeter tells me that this person is posting from Royal Oak, Michigan, or somewhere in that vicinity (in other words, a local person, and probably someone who knows me personally). Second, judging from the tone and sentence structure, I think I know who she is. Yes, I said "she". No need to name names... she's probably already having a "holy shit" moment, based solely on this paragraph.

Finally, I am looking into something that, if it comes about, will be a HUGE change in my life. I don't want to say more than that right now, because I don't want to jinx it. I could use everyone's good vibes. If it happens, I will make sure and explain in detail. If it doesn't, I will still give as much of the details as I feel comfortable with. Let's just say I would be "getting a life"... and then some.

14 hopefully thoughtful response(s):

  1. Good luck....I'm sending good vibes your way.

  2. Good vibes and no construction on 94 for you!

    *whispers* wasn't me by the way....

  3. Jim, just want to state for the record, someone told me about this blog and it just sounded an awful lot to me that perhaps you thought I might be the anonymous poster. Well, regardless of what you may think or feel about me, if I had something to post I would just post it. I would never hide behind an anonymous listing especially when you yourself told me that you can track the whereabouts of someone's message (not that I would have still went under the spineless anonymous post if you couldn't track).

    I would never say that you need to get a life. I think that you're quite content with your life, and that is all that matters.

    Hope this clears up everything, because I wouldn't want to create hard feelings between us, whether we are ever friends again or not.

  7. Drama? Pirates don't have drama. They have adventure.

    Belleville is close, Jim.

  8. Ooh! Oooh! Is it me? Oh, wait, no, I don't post anonymously. Dang. Also, I haven't been to Royal Oak.

    I don't know how anyone could think it "sounded like" you meant anyone specific, unless you only know one person in Royal Oak. Saying that the "tone and sentence structure" sounds familiar to you doesn't mean a darn thing to anyone else.

    As for your huge change, is it:

    1. Your long awaited return to the Stage?

    2. the impending arrival of aliens you've been in contact with?

    3. The announcement of a new Baskin Robbins flavor?

    Just some guesses. In any case, I wish you well.
